I RUN JANA MARCUS PHOTOGRAPHY WHERE I PROVIDE LUXURY PORTRAIT SESSIONS FOR WOMEN.
This picture is from my own portrait session.
It was such an empowering experience to embrace my own vibrance at the age of 60! To recognize that I am still vital, beautiful and powerful despite what society tells me I should be at this age.
Portrait photography is so much more than just taking pretty pictures. It's about self-acceptance, empowerment and learning that loving yourself is anything but selfish!
It's about getting glammed-up, having fun and breaking stereo-types about women over 40.
It's about the transformation that takes place between the time you walk into my studio and walk back out the door.
It's about showcasing your character, wisdom and spirit, and redefining what it means to be a woman today, in the second half of our lives.
It's about celebrating that beauty doesn't diminish with age.
