What is the best thing about being your age?

I no longer worry about what people think about me 😊.

What hardships have you endured that you feel have made you stronger?

I never went to college and was embarrassed about it most of my working life. I avoided any situation or discussion that was about education. I’ve learned after many years and personal successes that ‘life smarts’ are as important, or more so, as book smarts…for me anyway.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

I started two successful businesses. I opened a restaurant when I was 26. I currently own a Professional Organizing business called, Imagine Time for You.

What's your favorite thing you have checked off your bucket list?

I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to travel to many parts of the country and the world. I also accomplished a six-figure income without a college degree.

What is your most treasured possession?

My husband, my mom, my other friends and family.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

A small group of family/friends, my health, and the means for a comfortable life. With so much tragedy in the current, and recent past, it is more important than ever to me.

What is a trait you are most proud of?

My integrity. Also that I cry at the littlest thing.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Loving my outside as much as my insides

what is your greatest extravagance?

What do you most value in your friends?

Their unconditional love and support, always looking for the good in people and situations.

What advice would you give your younger self?

You are perfect just as you are.

What is your motto or favorite quote?

Lead by example.

Words of wisdom for younger women

The Four Agreements: • Be impeccable with your word • Don’t take anything personally • Don’t make assumptions • Do your best

Additional thoughts about aging...

I am so much more comfortable with who I am and what is important, even though it is challenging to see the changes in my physical self, and not feel it changes who I am.
