What is the best thing about being your age?

I am more focused on others while also seeing to it that these are some of the best years of my life. I don't let people steal my joy.

What hardships have you endured that you feel have made you stronger?

There was a lot of death in my family and friends group when I was in my late teens and early twenties. This forced me to grow up and also realize that not only does death need to be dealt with personally, but you have only so much time to live your life.

What's your favorite thing you have checked off your bucket list?

Sailing the Virgin Islands.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?


What is your most treasured possession? Treasure people, not possessions.

what do you consider your greatest achievement?

Raising four children and getting them through college.

What is a trait you are most proud of?

I can usually connect well with my students.

what is your greatest extravagance?

Sports activities.

What do you most value in your friends?

Honesty, Loyalty.

If it's not working, fix it. If you cannot fix it, accept what you cannot change, and pursue the life you want.

Love and accept yourself just the way you are right now. You're the only perfect, beautiful, loveable you. The rest will come later.
