For about thirty years I worked as a direct care nurse in an adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU). That was not easy but it was a privilege to engage and serve people in that environment. Intense authentic relationships build character and insight. During that time, with the total support of my husband, I raised two sons and eventually completed graduate studies at UCSF. And kept riding horses.

Your eyes young again with energy and dream,
A path of plenitude opening before you.” - John O’Donohue
