What is the best thing about being your age?

The wisdom to be fearless in my choices.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Getting my Master's degree.

What's your favorite thing you have checked off your bucket list?

I don't really have a "bucket list" but things I'm thrilled to have done are rowing the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon, white water rafting the Bio Bio river in Chile before it was damed, and an African Safari.

Being there when my mom died with my dad and sister ~ the power of being present when someone you love dies, is very special. That was the third death I was privileged to be part of.  And, accompanying my 88 year old dad and his diving cronies on a three-week trip to Micronesia to revisit his diving discovery of the Shinohara submarine.

What is your most treasured possession?

My friends.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Perfect happiness is an impossiblity...there is no "perfection" in human nature. To me, perfect happiness is continuing to search and grow emotionally, spiritiually, and physically and follow my dreams.

What is a trait you are most proud of?

Kindness and generosity.

What is your greatest fear?

Failure.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I'm not sure I would change anything. I am who I am because of my life experiences and choices.

what is your greatest extravagance?

This photo shoot.

What do you most value in your friends?

Honesty and support.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Take care of your self and your happiness, that will make it easier for you to take care of others.

What is your motto or favorite quote?

Today my favorite quote is, "Not my circus, not my monkeys."
My motto is, life is like running a river, you need to constantly adjust your course to get safely downstream.

Would you like to be photographed and share your thoughts

about the beauty of aging?
